Future Products

Citala has spearheaded a program for developing high-resolution displays on truly flexible substrates. Capitalizing on the color advantages and fast response time of Citala’s APD™ technology, this development program will pair Citala’s Active Pixel Display (APD™) with an active matrix backplane to create a flexible, high-resolution color display capable of video speed.

Ultimately, this program will lead to other flexible products that will break the design constraints of glass-based displays. Future products will include: wearable displays, flexible video displays, flexible digital documents, e-books, and more.

Citala’s development strategy is to integrate Onyx™, the core of APD™ technology, and roll-to-roll manufacturing with an innovative partner capable of producing a flexible active-matrix backplane. Citala expects to achieve a fully functional integration in the near future.
