Citala’s Onyx^TM material is used in optical inspection applications where a very uniform, fast and reactive, and efficiently switchable patterned optical shutter is required to detect minute imperfections in high-precision surfaces.

Citala’s Onyx^TM material also is used in inspection applications of TFT backplanes. It acts as the sensor to detect the function of the TFT elements in active-matrix LCDs. Our material is the key to economically producing LCD displays and televisions.
