Citala Ltd will unveil its most advanced EMV-compliant contactless smartcard with built-in display at Cartes 09 in Paris; the company has been rapidly ramping up production and shipments of its smart card modules.

October 10 2009, Tel Aviv, Israel: Citala Ltd announced today that it will unveil its most advanced EMV-compliant contactless smartcard with built-in display at Cartes 09 in Paris; and that the company has been rapidly ramping up production and shipments of its smartcard modules.

At the show, Citala will demonstrate the latest EMV-compliant technologies including advanced display-based modules for smartcards. Citala's contactless card modules enable secured payment applications, integrated with standalone display applications.
Citala has successfully completed compatibility tests of the next generation solution of its Smartcard display modules CSDM2 contactless display module. The smartcard module features new payment protocols, with certified NFC payment terminals.
Citala’s contactless module support ISO 14443 communication protocol, EMV certified (EAL5+) and in compliance with ISO 7810 standard. The Smartcard platform, which includes a built-in reflective display, presents revolutionary authentication security for the card issuers and offer convenience to the user in multiple applications, such as banking, transportation, government, affinity cards, etc.
During 2009, Citala has ramped up production of its smartcard module, which contains the company’s proprietary flexible display.
