Design Consultation
Citala provides its customers with a design consultation in order to evaluate their needs. We recommend APDTM displays and control panel designs that provide enhanced functionality and value to our customers and their end users.
Design Options
- A choice of standard, high, or ultra high contrast OnyxTM display materials.
- Graphic overlays with a variety of surface finishes, patterned textures, and second surface printing with colors and patterns (sealing gaskets also available).
- Active displays with customized design elements, patterns, text and graphics, which are patterned into the display's electrode layer.
- A choice of color graphic reflectors, providing seven standard, bright, high-contrast fluorescent colors in various patterns, with text and graphics. Additional custom colors are also an option.

APDTM technology can be integrated with electronics and user interfaces to provide solutions for applications that meet the needs of a wide range of industries. Citala’s APD™ technology can be integrated with:
- a variety of protective layers, UV barriers
- customized graphic overlays
- backlight (example: electro luminescence, EL)
- active keypads (fully integrated switching)
- heat seal interconnects and other electrical connectors with different interfaces.
Display Drivers
APD™ displays can be customized; they also are designed to work with standard, commonly used, off-the-shelf electronic drivers. This enables seamless integration with existing products and systems. Citala also designs its own application specific integrated circuits (ASICs), which optimize efficiency and conserve power for specific high-volume applications.
