High Resolution Development Program

Citala has spearheaded a program for developing high-resolution displays on truly flexible substrates. Capitalizing on the color advantages and fast response time of Citala’s APDTM  technology, this development program will pair Citala’s Active Pixel Display (APDTM) with an active matrix backplane to create a flexible, high-resolution color display capable of video speed. Ultimately, this program will lead to other flexible products that break the design constraints of glass-based displays. Future products will include: wearable displays, flexible video displays, flexible digital documents, e-books, and more. Citala’s development strategy is to integrate OnyxTM, the core of APDTM technology, and roll-to-roll manufacturing with an innovative partner capable of producing a flexible active-matrix backplane. The company expects to achieve fully functional integration in the near future.
